Investment Capital - Financing Without Borrowing
We are globally connected investment capital group. We receive and review over 50 projects a day from all over the world, and invest in the development of future growth companies.
This information is an honest effort to clarify what investment capital is, and what is not. It is investments. It is not loans. Those two short sentences may tell many entrepreneurs and their advisors more about this method of finance than they knew before reading this brochure.
Here’s more: Banks make business loans, but they don’t knowingly take risks. Investor capitalists knowingly take risks, but they don’t make loans, because a loan repaid at interest is not enough compensation for taking a risk.
So, what’s the collateral for a risky investment capital? The skills of the management team, first, and the perceived future power of the project, second.
What we do
As investment capitalists, we have a somewhat rare “open door” policy. We are not a huge firm with billions to invest. We are not an arrogant ivory tower. We are a global niche player and, in our very large niche, we are often described as the major player. Our niche is the “grassroots” of the risk/investment/equity capital arena.
We can’t do anything with fantasies, or very small or very slow-growth projects. However, many potentially excellent projects just kick around and die because they are simply structured incorrectly or too incompletely to attract investment capital. Instead of saying, “next case”, we probe a little deeper into what may be a “diamond in the rough.” And, while our direct investment fund is sometimes totally placed and working, we always keep our revolving seed capital and R&D fund liquid.
It is from this fund that we begin to make “grassroots” investments designed to save deals and repair or restructure them into excellent investment and employment opportunities. Ten years ago, we invented a menu of “help tools” which still remain unique in the global risk/investment/equity capital arena.
Questions
This is a mysterious arena. Private capital is involved, and it is not easy to get without an excellent Business Plan that explains everything . Before you would invest your money in strangers, what would you want to know about them and their project? Everything.
We invest in projects at the “grassroots.” The more we believe in a project, the more we increase our investment. We don’t like to loose money. We try very hard not to loose money. We don’t want anyone to lose money. But it takes money to make money, and we listen to too many horror stories about money spent without any results.
Ask questions. There is no such thing as a stupid question when money is involved. We are accessible. We will communicate. Direct questions to us, and they will be answered. Honestly. Without integrity, you have nothing.
